I'm almost ashamed to ask this but...
I need help with git, not GitHub but just plain git.

So I have Linux on windows because I realised all i need is bash, not all of Linux. So I'm taking a tutorial on git because... I'm a programmer, I need to know this. So I am also doing some demo stuff on my own and... I have no clue where to put the file I want to handle with git. In pretty sure I should put it in the file containing the .git folder, which includes .bash_history, etc. But when I git init and git status, it doesn't see it, so am i doing something wrong?

To be specific the test file is in
C:///Users/...

I have planned how to automate everything in my life but don't have the money to do it, I count from 0, if I ever need to count in my fingers for whatever reason, I do it binary, I find tv hacking and programming very stupid and condescending most of the time, and I'm somehow even more of a cynical asshole according to my friends, but that last part might just be from leaving high school

For the love of fuck, my sd card had a ridiculously large amount of space, but I can't just download apps to it, the best I can do is download to my space-limited phone and then "move to sd card" which doesn't help if the app is bigger than the space I have on my phone and because it doesn't move the while app, just a couple files, stupid fucking fuck
