@JustMrBates IEdiots is probably the best thing I'll hear all 2017
-
A tool like Western Digital Data Lifeguard might actually do a decent job at repairing some bad sectors, but it works best in PE mode
also they just learned about chkdsk so it'd be a hell of a miracle to pull off for them -
@error503 Sometimes I still cry thinking about my Dreamweaver days; it was so bad I actually somehow preferred Notepad instead 😕
-
@Naptic Genuinely wanna do it now because I feel lucky, but I'd have to either pull from my savings or wait until next Thursday 😔
-
@maester-Em Really simple simulator for dice rolls, basically a beginner project for simulating how many dice rolls it takes to get snake eyes 🐍🐍🐍
I could've made this in two seconds with JavaScript but I've never messed about with Java until a few days ago 😊 -
You could do either an OS refresh if you wanna keep your files or a destructive reinstall. Probably an OS corruption; Windows updates are killing computers lately.
-
I can't speak on the iOS program they offer, but I have done the front-end curriculum.
It was honestly a lot easier than I expected, although I did learn at least a couple things. The main reason I was in the program was the job assistance, which they actually do come through on. I was offered an internship through AT&T before even finishing the program, which was nice. So if you're looking to use it as your pathway to a decent job, go for it by all means. If you're looking to learn, you can find similar (or better in some cases) courses online for free.
Lastly, from the standpoint of the credential itself, a lot of the interviewers I've had have been pretty intrigued about the nanodegree. They always want to know the ins and outs.
Overall, as far as personal needs, I think it's a solid investment. Good luck to you! -
@navz Right now I'm working my way up the tech ladder at an IT/computer repair company. I legally can't say which one it is online, but we wear stereotypically nerdy uniforms and wear badges 😉
-
@asgs @mschinis Thanks guys, I'll have to check it out. I'm usually not the type to get aggravated over the phone or hang up on someone (I'm really nice when you're not right in front of me - it's weird), but they've gotten me to that point a few times. Had about 20+ phone calls so far this year.
-
@OptimusV7 Thank you!
-
@stinky So incredibly true, sadly the thing I expect with one of my previous interview projects 😑
-
@skonteam 😂😂 thanks man!
-
!rant
What's your favorite UI prototyping app? I've been waiting (incredibly patiently) for Adobe XD for Windows, or the pipedream of Sketch on Windows 😑 -
@Jumpshot44 Thanks a ton, man. It's already a headache since the RubyGems site is having SSL certificate errors and it's crazy backwards to fix, but I think I'm getting there.
-
@jw56578 One of theirs, as sort of an aptitude test. If it were one of my own I'd definitely pass it up 😂
-
@Theo20185 lol I knew you did, just a yoke that your job of programming was made easier :p
-
The Play Store actually does that for you in the "recommended for you" section based on what you've previously downloaded, looks like your job was made easy!
-
@edisonn @wolfram thankfully it's a problem I don't see myself needing to solve 😅
-
Ovid's Metamorphosis is an all-time favorite of mine. Some versions are figuratively biblical in length because it covers mythology but it's a fantastic read.
-
Good on you! Have fun and learn loads.
-
Started using Atom a year ago and I don't think I could ever stop tbh
-
@nblackburn Thanks a lot man, I'll keep working at it!
-
@girlybrackets Perry Fairy, Polyphia, and AAL make the time pass so quickly it's uncanny. Intervals does that too.
-
This is almost too relatable
-
Glad you viewed it as a learning experience man. Bigger and better things are coming along for you
-
@Letmecode I'd give you a million +1s if I could for this, thank you! Sometimes I forget that I'm not the only one in an environment where failure is almost common. Probably because I don't have any friends who are devs ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°
-
@Jumpshot44 Very true, sometimes I forget that. Thanks! Ever had a potential employer not respond when asking for feedback?
-
@BartBB That's a really good way of looking at things. Normally I try to just think of how I can speak better and sort of steer the conversation in a way, but your suggestion helps a lot. Ever gotten a potential employer that wouldn't respond to asking for feedback?
-
@silhoutte Thanks man! I'm waiting patiently for the vinyl.
-
@maximizer Ever listen to Solar Fields?
