This is the poweramp I’m using with it, does the job perfectly IMO.

@M1sf3t i got mine second-hand for 1200 euros. Which is quite some money, but on the other hand you have got basically everything you ever need. There are two things to keep in mind though:
- buy an axe-fx mark II, not the ‘ultra’ or another one of the first generation. There are way more models for the mark II than for the older ones and the software is also better
- You will need an external amplifier if you want to connect it to a cab or other speaker that does not have an build-in amplification. You can get these pretty cheap though, I got one from thomann for 100 euros or something thats doing a great job. Just a decent PA amp will do. It does not need to have any effect, it only needs to amplify the signal from the axe 🤘🏼

Also: I also dislike marshall’s sound :p

@M1sf3t what I mean with two channels is that most of the serious amps have a ‘clean’ channel and some sort of overdrive/distortion channel. If you have that you can just press a button on the amp to switch between the two, which is quite usefull in your case since you play different styles. You still have a powerfull distortion option on your amp while you also have a channel to play around with when you want something more soft :-)

Yes I like the axe-fx a lot, and numerous of pro bands use them as well. What it actually is is that the axe-fx is not just an fx box, but it is a modeller. It basically simulates the actual hardware of almost any amp you want. Fender, marshall, engl... they are all in that. Same goes for cabs, effect pedals etc etc. i can changes any resistor/tube/whatever part in it as well if I wish to. Just hook it up to my laptop and I can tweak every freaking bit of it. It’s really the best piece of music hardware I ever bought apart from my guitar itself.

@M1sf3t what about a two channel amp and some pedals for specific tones? Or the same thing I did: get a second hand ace-fx mark 2 😎

@M1sf3t Joyo zombie is a great (and cheap too) amp if you want a good metal tone. Best advice would be to go to a store and find out what sound you like, and most important: whatever the sales people tell you don’t buy a line 6 spider. They do have a lot of sounds and effects, but all of them sound like shit. Better buy an amp that has 1 great sound that you like than having to choose from 100s of crap sounds :-)

“Ben” is actually pretty cheap and you can get a subscription that you can cancel monthly if needed 👍🏼

Because it is still slow AF. At least on OSx. With a few tabs open it already starts to lag and crashes every ten minutes 🤷🏼‍♂️. I would really like to switch but it still isn’n a serious for me option these days.

You can just enter an email and password in spotify to disconnect it from Facebook. I did the same to get rid of Facebook last year :-)
