@Noobish nice, I have win 10 on my desktop and now fedora on my laptop, one reason I moved from arch is xrandr didnt work with increasing my screen resolution

OK! Fedora seems to work, I finished the install without the boot loader so it seems I have to manually boot in but it works!!!!!!!

welp pop os went the way of all the other ubuntu based OS, time for fedora

I have used Ubuntu in the past, centOS on a vps, raspbin on my raspberry pi, just trying to get something that works on my laptop so I don't have to use Windows, im going to keep trying and trying distros till something works!

@noveusurp if pop!_os fails will will definitely give that a try, thanks!

@LeFlawk pretty sure its uefi, I disabled secure boot, going to try pop! Os later as advised on my other rant to see if that works

Good news, flashed mint to my USB at work and it validated so now I just have to wait till I get home to try everything else...
