A devRant clone but for non-devs to rant about devs (jerodev sounds similar enough to zerodev LoL)
-
Congratulations! 😀
//throws confetti 🎉 -
@Jijel my parents whenever I can't fix what they need me to: "What are you doing in uni then?" 😒
-
Too true. Yesterday I was coming back home and it was 44-45C (max) somewhere in the middle of Alentejo o-o
-
@Ashkin it was still in warranty, didn't wanna risk it and mess up :/
Even if it wasn't, I don't wanna mess up my laptop myself so I wanted to leave it to people who knew what they were doing LoL -
We all are at some point HaHa
I should bring mine with me to uni. Me and a colleague had a hard time working yesterday 😐 Things didn't go quite as planned. Tomorrow should be the same 😬 -
Well I'm still in uni for CS but so far I got a female friend who's also in the same course I am 😜 and ironically, though I get along better with guys, most of my friends are girls LoL. It's like a 6:1 (female:male) ratio 😂
-
@nicholai Nice one :D Wasn't sure anyone was gonna pick up on that HaHa. Or even get a response for it, for that matter 🙃
-
Hello me, meet the real me 😂
Sorry, that was the first thing that popped to my mind 😂 -
At a first reading I understood that you told her that she didn't have any friends and I was like "that's a bit harsh :/", but then I understood what you really meant XD
-
I think I'm too tired and that emoji is moving for me :I Also, had one of those spots like a month ago, guess I was straining my eyes too hard, though that's my everyday and it was the first time it happened
-
In this course I did in between semesters last year they gave us some guidelines on how to deal with interview Qs. One of the tips was that, when that Q was asked, the "best" answer we could give is "you should pay me according to your salary table", or something like that. Otherwise you could end up asking (and getting) for less than you could be actually receiving, or they could think you were greedy, as you were asking for more than they would paying you and end up don't hiring you
-
@ScribeOfGoD me neither, I get too anxious talking on the phone with people I don't know (and even with some I do know) so I don't usually answer when someone calls me 😕 my social anxiety goes through the roof when someone I don't know/don't know well calls me

Portugal 🙋
-
Portugal! 🙌
Welcome! -
I can mostly focus with music (or even in a noisy room), but if what I have in front of me is more demanding than usual (like when I'm tired) then I stop the music and do what I need to do and then get the music back on
-
What do you mean, "finished"? 😮
Joking.
I have 3 personal projects on my list and no means to do them because my computer decided to break on me 😑 I also have uni projects but luckily those are made in groups. One of my partners has the PC and we do the work on hers. Stuck that way until next week, I hope 8I (I handed it last week and the estimate was 1 month but they said it's usually less than that so fingers crossed) -
@lukegv there was a hotspot called Martin Router King in my uni once 😂
There was also "Iceberg on Flames" -
exercism.io is a fun little site as well
Found out about it here on devRant one day 😊 -
@NeatNerdPrime wondering when will they ask to write full fledged texts char by char. That'll be fun.
Not -
At least they aren't asking to write name or emails letter by letter.
Are they? -
@matanl better safe than sorry I guess
-
@matanl I mean yeah but I didn't ask for permission or anything so I don't know if they wouldn't be on top of me for using the course's name to make stuff without asking
-
@matanl I've done that to my course's name and I wanted to make it a sticker to put on my laptop but I wanted to talk to my course's students "administration" (otherwise I could be punished for it, but I'm not quite sure about that. Either way, I don't wanna risk it) to know if they allow me to do that so right now it's just sitting on my pics folder LoL

That is standard for 1st graders in the 1st semester of this one subject in my uni. Me, having an itty bit of experience from a subject I'd had the year before (2y ago now), knew how to indent. Whenever I looked at a fellow colleague's code (who hadn't had a subj like the one I had) I was very confused because everything was in a single line and I couldn't make much of it at a first glance 😐
-
@KnightsOfCode you can't bonk people in the head with a digital copy, can you? 😛
-
If it had a thingabobber we have in portuguese (pontuation marks on the a - á) it'd say "nownownownownownownownownownownownownownownow"
Otherwise, the laughing would be "hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha" -
I'm doing the same with my TV in my uni house. It doesn't look as glamorous as yours, but it does the job well enough. I kinda miss it now that I'm in my *real* home because I only have my laptop's screen, but I'll be back tomorrow for my 4th semester.
-
@ChachiKlaus happened to my uncle. Miraculously, his phone is still working fine
-
In the same line of thought as @gummy, I own a Millberget (or similar, in their site it looks smaller than the one I have so I'm not 100% sure) and it's super confortable, considering I spend pretty much the whole day sitting after coming home from uni classes
