@DarkVoyager ditto to that last part. Slamming through gears up some twisty mountain road and heel-toeing my way back down is my favorite way to momentarily forget everything.
Conversely, roaming up and down the highway at a more mellow rate of speed is my favorite way to mull things over. -
Drive.

Broken things tend to fix themselves around me for no discernable reason.

If you can travel, offer to travel to her and take her to a park and cafe or somewhere like that. Get her out of the house. Do not force it, if she says no then leave it for a bit.
If you can't do that for whatever reason, just keep in touch but don't force yourself on her. Send a message every now and then, ask to talk via voice, ask her how she is, etc. All the normal conversation stuff to remind her that you're there willing to listen should she need to talk. -
Get a wagon! Handles like a sedan but has room like an SUV!
Only cars I'll buy new are gonna be a NISMO GT-R and a Volvo V90 (the family car). The rest are gonna be my rally WRX, my track/weekender Europa, and a race-ready 1st gen 240Z.
Oh, and a shop truck that can tow at least 5000lbs.
I need a bigger garage.... And more money -
*cough* soft tab *cough*

@-ANGRY-CLIENT- I was thinking of starting a thread on LotusTalk (and probably one on NASIOC for my DD/RallyCross car). If I do I'll tag you with a link.
That said, I might post a [random] rant and make that a little devRant build thread... With a disclaimer on top of course so people know it's not at all dev related.
Anyway, next on the list for the Europa is to wait for a friend to be free and help me free the clutch. Twincam engines are apparently notorious for the clutch freezing to the flywheel if they sit for more than a few months. If he can't meet this weekend I'll replacing the front inner axle boots on my WRX, both of which have split open and are spewing grease everywhere -
Well done on the voxel engine!
Here's my progress this weekend: Cleaned the tanks, replaced the lines and filters (again), rebuilt the carburetors (again), got some 100LL avgas from the local airport (no ethanol to clog the jets with varnish), and fired her back up. Purring like a little 46 year old kitten :3
Over the next couple years I'm gonna take her apart completely and clean every little bit, but for now I'm going to enjoy the fact that she's mechanically sound. Electrically though... Old English cars are not known for good wiring, and sitting for 20 years attracting mice certainly didn't help.
Nothing dev related unfortunately. I usually work on my side projects during the week and spend my weekends in the garage. -
🎉🎊🎂🎊🎉
Get well soon -
@AdrienNini @theKarlisK I'd love to join a devRant race team

Only 141,117 years to go!
Edit: accounted for leap years -
Just cooled to ~30°C here in Northeastern US. It's been ~35-37°C for a few too many weeks, but this whole week is just rain and it's great

Would be pretty interesting to have an entertainment system embedded in your fingertips though.

My good deed of the day comes from a few months ago when I saw a car catch fire on the highway. I was driving my not-yet-fully-built-rally-car, and luckily had an extinguisher under the passenger seat because racecar.
Good times -

10 hours late, so your Sunday is probably nearing its end, but Gunslinger Girl is quite a good anime.
-
@Condor I second @linuxxx's appreciation of the sudden influx in incrementation
-
@-ANGRY-CLIENT- I myself am still trying to decide between computers and cars... Really hard choice.
Hope you have fun as a mechanic - I certainly enjoy wrenching on my cars -
I need to take a better photo this coming winter (i.e. keep the camera level with the ground)
-
@ribchinski
or: takes all from both (i.e. 10101 or 11001 is 11101)
xor: takes from both excluding duplicates (i.e. 10101 xor 11001 is 01100)
In the picture his sideburns and widow's peak are missing in xor, because both A and B have them. -
Exactly what I'm doing right now, minus the whiskey as I'm too young to buy it here in the states... More tea it is then.
6 more hours before I can take a power nap to get me through the day. -

@ceee timezones means you said that at roughly 3am my time, so right on the money

Tomorrow I'll be leaving my teenage years as well- so Happy Birthday!

Resident American number 2: If I don't know the sex of whomever it is I am speaking about, be they hypothetical or otherwise, I tend to say either 'they', 'he or she', or 'one'. I developed the habit in english/writing classes, and it simply stuck.
i.e. One may think that they developed a practice of his or her own accord, yet they were in fact forced into doing so.
In person I typically err on the side of caution. If I can't identify the sex of the being I'm talking to, or fear that they may sprout some other gender akin to flying asault vehicles, I simply leave out all pronouns. -

I was looking up a pin diagram for a RasPi 3 and stumbled upon a rant with the picture I wanted. The rant was amusing, so I went to read a few more.

Meanwhile here in New Hampshire I'm sitting in front of my A/C because 83°F (28°C) is too hot. I miss the 60° (16°C) days.
