@klutch Nope, Cat5e and cat6.

I find sending them a https://lmgtfy.com usually gets the point across, but then I think back to the ones that have helped me with all my stupid questions along the way and refrain from it and just carry on with bestowing my knowledge. But ya know, whatevs.

Okay, I'm off for the night. -
@bittersweet all though true, I haven't had a day off for a while. Instead of "let's take a break for a bit while things are slow" it's been "Anony, you will need to be here during these times. I (my direct sup) and the tech will be on call and at home to save the department hours, don't hesitate calling" but they didn't tell me they'd have their phone off the majority of the time.

Shown using frequency shift keying. Its in this stage where the spoof takes place. With applications like spoof card, youre routing a phone through them where they then push the vulnerability.
Now, for the "cool" part. Its possible to spoof your number to the targets and then listen to their voicemails. A shitty make in the backbone of telecommunications. Even with a pascode set, most users will opt for the 'don't require passcode when calling from my number ' allowing spoofs to listen when calling from "your number" and if your voicemail is open, well forget about your security.
Don't mind the spelling and the all over the place-ness. If you have more questions or I need to revise shtuff, just lemmi know. -
Okay, after about 17 hours I'm off work. There's depth in this, but honestly not much. I'm going to simply ot a bit because I'm tired. NPA-NXX spoofing, or neighborhood spoofing is what you'll generally see with scammers and telemarketers. They do this because generally if a person sees a number from their area code "NPA" They tend to answer it. Say your number is 785-082-0990, they'll spoof their number to match to conduct their scam to an area close to yours... 785-NXX-XXX.
Now, caller ID spoofing is where a caller tricks the telephone network into displaying a fake number and fake name. This is where shit gets crazy because youre able to use this to gain access into just about anyone's voicemail. Even when its passcode protected (works sometimes). So, when a phone rings there are different frequencies. Someone correct me if km wrong, but if i remember correctly, the spoofing occurs when the binary is translated between the first and second ring of the phone call. Caller ID is -
Sorry, I'm still at work. I haven't forgot about you, my networks needing some TLC. Will update when I get off.
-
@endor Sure, give me adound 30 minutes to an hour and I'll give you some info, ive got to run into a meeting
-
@mr-user the previous network administrator has very minimal documentation. Im trying to make time to document everything now. For the most part, things are "okay" when trying to locate, but im going to make my life easier as well as whoever comes after me if I decide to leave or die later on lol.
-
I can call you from 911, from your number, from your mother's number, or anything else I between. It's scary how easy it is to spoof a number. Hang up on them, any "company" that can't use their actual number doesn't deserve your time. Stay safe!

Don't worry, ill be posting cable porn in the next few weeks if my phone would stop ringing and end (L)users would learn to use a power button.
-
Plz no sharp objects, ive already tripped over the freaking cables and downed half the facility about a month ago. 😳
-
@Ranchu 1/4th of my networking/server room. Don't ask. Cables were a bowl of spaghetti before I took over lol.
-
@SauceBoss but... but... my users privacy 😩😂
-
@filthyranter Naw, even before this they were all blank, too.
@dUcKtYpEd I wouldn’t mind. Would make the support tickets a little better. -

Got laid. Forgot to update this. 👍🏼

Haha... ahhh fuck... Now I have a boner. 😅

Hit them with the small claims court letter, not a date but stating if the invoice isn’t paid today, that I’ll be taking them to small claims. They’ve paired plus the interest. I’ve killed their services anyways. I’m not doing this shit again. Thanks everyone.
-
I disabled their services. They haven’t been replying to emails, phone calls, or texts. Will post updates. I have a feeling things will hit the fan.
-
Apply?

I’m going to talk to my buddy who’s an attorney and see what he would recommend... I think I might “trip” over their fucking server power cord when I stumble in from the pub tonight, just to fuck with them a bit. I have keys to their kingdom, I’m surprised they want to play this game. That’s the biggest thing. I hold your companies heart in my fucking hands, why attempt to fuck with that. Excuse me, I’m not really like that as a business owner but fuck lol.
-
But due to this being such a small shit town, I always tiptoe around hoe I handle fucks like this. It’s so easy to piss someone off that has connections and you never see another customer again. Small local governments are shit like that. I didn’t state that if it goes on longer I will terminate services, I don’t know why. Perhaps my blood was boiling and my head went dark, Idk. But, with them telling them that the bill will increase with such a high percentage; I’m hoping to receive a payment within the next few days or so. If not, I may need you lovey fuckers to bail me out of jail lol.
Thanks for all the advice, I’ll keep everyone posted on what I decide to do and what path the chose to go down. -
Sorry. Life’s stressful.
I host their DNS server in my server room. Their shit and software is located at their home business. I am located in a small town which I fucking hate. I don’t have a claims department. I am however the owner of a 5 man team of penetration testers and designers/programmers, so I haven’t really established the departments of a bigger business.
I’d like to go about this as legally as possible, but I can’t help to let my grey hat show. If I was younger, they’d be calling me for problems they didn’t know were even possible, but with my old age, I simply can’t. Fucking maturity...
I hand delivered another invoice yesterday. Trying not to come off as a douche, I simply stated that if the invoices aren’t paid I will be increasing all bills by 30% due to the time between the last payment. All I get is an “okay, thanks.” I left it at that although I wanted to state more or ask when I can expect payment, -

I’m glad to see you going into security, you won’t be disappointed! Once you dive into kali and it’s many tools, you’ll learn to love it way more. Hell, I’ve even got kali on my Windows 10 machine. https://kali.org/news/...
It’s one of the biggest tools you’ll have in your belt. -
Kali user here, you’ll love it. ❤️

I mean, they then have the ability to play whatever their heart desires for a while. Let people enjoy things lol.

@CoffeeNcode lol I’m willing to, I’d love to upgrade all of our old tech. Our phone system is older than I am.
Not a nuclear launch site sadly, but we have nuclear medicine? Lol
