You clever man... I would have done something about it as soon as I noticed it, but what you did was amazing as all hell

Hello everybody! And welcome to another tutorial: How to collect points quickly 101-
Let's get started.
1. Work out a deal with someone to upvote your comments.
2. Spam comments.
3. ???
4. Profit!
That's all for today. Hope you enjoyed yourself. Next time, we shall learn how to get out of trouble by making a post out of it. See ya later! -
My question is, Who the fuck bothered to print all that shit? I mean, what's the use?
-
I use "Error:XXX" where XXX represents a number.

*triggered* Sometimes people are passionate about what they do and put in extra hours so that they can achieve something close to perfection. If they wanted they could submit an "average product" in the given timeframe and be written off as another "average developer" but they instead choose to spend time and effort to polish that product to create something that they can be proud of. Does this mean that they are a bunch of incompetent, inefficient fools? If so, then I too am an incompetent, inefficient fool. Does working hard in your life to achieve one's dream make them a machine? Then I too, am a machine. Please don't make light of the feeling of people just because you don't feel the same way. Just because you don't like what you do does not mean that everyone has to hate what they do too.

Strictly speaking, no. But in the future we might be able to develope them enough for them to be able to emulate the process of thinking.
-
@jckimble Well, I am a game developer, and I need to check whether features and mechanics have been implemented correctly from time to time, so I prefer not to remap keys for convenience. Also, I am too lazy to switch back and forth between two settings.
-
That is technically a breach of contract. Sue them if you want to. Also, were there any terms for termination of contract?
-
Your PC has autism
-
Am I the only one around here who has a "normal" setting for my keyboard?

@zedchoo Umm... This was taught in highschool. No maths PhD needed. It is one of the basics for Newtonian physics calculations, certain chemistry calculations (rate of reaction, radioactivity, etc.) and of course maths. Trust me, you can learn the basics of calculus in 30-60 mins depending on how fast you can learn.
-
When I am bored, I draw while thinking about the new features that I want to implement and how I would implement them.
-
@devleb I'm sorry I would rather not. I want to stay anonymous so that I can rant all I want without offending people. I hope you understand.
-
@devleb My third, and our(my original team's) second game has indeed been published. If it was still in the production, we wouldn't be wasting time training apprentices so that the best would take over the dojo, you know. We would be working hard and pulling all nighters.

@codeblue @AllenII Truth be told, the only reason I wanted to hide the fact the I was the boss was because I wanted to mingle with everyone without all that awkwardness, like I do with my current team. To create an environment where everyone is free to express their ideas and discuss problems without the fear of being looked down upon. But I guess my luck won't let me. The smartass never came back. He wasn't the best either. He was good at learning about the engine and using mechanics though. Anyway, we'll pick the best two among the remaining four next week to finally form our new coding team.

Ah, the good ol' days when I was still a child. Did I say good ol'days? I meant my days in the purgatory where you got banned from absolutely everything.
At first I played a lot of games for 3/4th day. As one would expect, I was banned from using the PC for a while. I then switched over to books, again spending 3/4th day reading. My parents actually tried to put my books in a locker but upon realizing that I had three bookshelf worth books(about 150), they decided to transfer them in a room and lock it. Then came drawing, then guitar, then GBA and finally stray cats and dogs before they realized that I was utterly hopeless and returned everything to me and let me do as I pleased while dropping little comments filled with scorn here and there. 10/10 would do again. -
@Rabb Hence the short training session

@Awlex I personally am on a lot of forums. In my case it is more like I want to know about all the games that come out and what problems others are facing so that should I encounter them in the future, I would know what to do and find new ways to express myself. But if you want reviews for your games, there are many ways to go about that.
1. Upload a video on YouTube.(you will get results over a period of time when you get popular)
2. If you are using an engine, use the forum made for the users of that particular engine. If you can't draw a solution to your problems regarding a feature, you might find a nice person who would be willing to guide you.
3. If you use custom engines like me, then you'll have to join a lot of forums to get a decent amount of reviews(also one of the reasons why I have joined a shit ton of forums).
Just search around on the net for a bit, you'll find a lot of forums. -
@spaceJunk I would personally recommend that you keep it open for everyone, if you believe that your idea is unique and/or appealing and are comfortable with letting people see it in its current state. If people like it, they will start talking about it to other people and since it is in development stage, it will help build up a "hype" while at the same time you can collect data about bugs and even take suggestions from the audience about what they would like to see in it. If possible, communicating with the audience is highly recommend (Example: telling them about what you plan to implement in the next update and when this next update will be, also talking to them about your future plans but never give them false hope like a certain game #totallynottalkingaboutnomanssky.) Do all this and you should be fine.

@cst1992 I do agree, but the thing is, in my case the rascal promised to do something, but didn't do shit. Heck if he would have said that he wanted to fill in and do nothing, I would have agreed due to the circumstances and would have been on hyper drive mode for the whole duration of the competition, but since I was depending on him, he actually did some damage as opposed to free loaders who are just extra baggage.
If you want to free loaders, just say so. Don't make fake promises. I ain't saying that free loading is okay, but rather if you get a choice between free loaders and uhh... fake-promisers? Ah I got it! Insurance scammers, choose free loaders. But the best thing to do is not to repeat my mistake and get all necessary information before hand so you can properly plan and choose competent people.
