I just block the Pinterest domain altogether

My computer has status lights that keep me up at night. Since it's not running any servers or services that people use, I shut it off
-
Fuck Humidity. Makes me all oily. Gross.
-
Know your room, not everyone is like you.
Going to need a full story. -
Console.Writeline("Happy Birthday!");
-
I don't pronounce initialisms, I just say the letters

@Skayo Well, there are a lot of gamers who like buying the ability to go online, microtransactions, dlcs, loot boxes, subscriptions to games, and the like. If this ever took off (it wouldn't), he could certainly milk some gamers. His mistake is charging the fee immediately. Actually, the mistake is another "Facebook but different" service.

Rise up.

Build it, it's cheaper and better suits the needs you'll have. Just buy all of your parts at once so you can claim DoA if a part arrives dead, and so you don't want warranty time.
Make use of /r/buildapcsales, I've saved hundreds with them.
If you're intimidated by the process, you should learn it anyway. It's a helpful thing to know how to do, and all it really is is plugging things into the holes they fit into. -
Nani the frick am I reading?
-
Bootcamp?
-
I don't see why not. I can get it to run on any machine I try to make it run on. If it's a laptop, worst you might need to do is optimize it for battery life, which might take an hour or two at most to do

Agreed. I personally believe that no piece of technology can be "smart." It simply does what it is told to do by its programmers - and that can only go so far. Following a set of instructions does not make an inanimate object smart.
I'm just pedantic though. Take the things I say with a shaker of salt. -
@Codex404 I'll probably just disable it since I'm (mostly) confident in my own spelling skills, but I can see how it's useful now. I initially thought it was strange to have in an IDE. Thanks!

@Robinha Just a small Unity 5 game for school
-
For a moment I thought you were saying you somehow got your mom to enable Windows defender via sms. I'm a dumbdumb.
-
@Root I thought that was just me.. glad to know I'm not alone!
-
@codefromsaturn I've personally had it crash about 12 times in the past few weeks, almost always after stopping a test. It's could just be an ID10T problem from me, though
-
Same for Windows and Linux. Unity just sucks :(
-
@bkwilliams I mean, I'm here I guess! I just want to see how other people go about solving their problems, and hopefully pick up some useful skills/tips myself. I watched Kitboga struggle for about an hour making something in Autohotkey on stream once, which was both fun and educational.
-
Ew. This is real?
-
@heyheni I'm know it's a joke, but to clarify I've actually had the nickname since before I began using Linux. I wouldn't want to intentionally put the name of a distro in my name.
-
@Stuxnet Fair enough, I support that. No technology is perfect - which is why I also wish people would stop acting like it's flawless.
-
@Stuxnet No offense, but are you intentionally attempting to start an argument? No one said anything about Linux.
-
What software, and how did you obtain it? I'd like to avoid it.
-
I know that it's just a meme, but this is a bit unnecessarily "gatekeepy"
-
I like PIA and Mullvad. I currently use PIA because I already live in the five eyes (which is where they're located), and they have been seized by the government before and the court records show that they had absolutely nothing to hand over.
Check out thatoneprivacysite, it's basically an unbiased reference sheet for VPNs. It's not a one-stop shop, though -
Good luck! I send my electronic hugs.
-
It's a new OS with a completely new way of doing things, of course you won't be productive yet. Don't be afraid to ask your co-workers for help if they already know how to use it. Lifelong Linux users (I've known some, their parents only used Linux) get just as confused the first time they run Windows.

Oh, no
