Is it common to have CTO who don't know shit and yet gets to make the call? What can be done to prevent this imbalance at work?

1) ignore him

2) kill and eat him

3) make reasoned arguments against him while his superiors can hear/read your discussion

The CTO where I work has like 3-5 years experience. I have 20+.

Nobody else in the company is remotely tech-savvy except a few contractors, who do everything they can to get work assigned to them and drag its support out for as long as possible. Typical hourly mentality.

Ugh.

At least the CTO listens to me sometimes.
