More like the most obvious thing I accidentally left OUT of an application without thinking about it.

"application seems advanced/cool/working! Oh by the way how do I log out?"

We are required to use corporate SSO for any authenticated internal websites, and one of the requirements for us is to provide a logout button.

Makes sense... except the actual logoff URL they provide to serve that function broke about 3 months ago. Apparently I'm the first (and one of the only) person (people) who reported it, and was told "not to worry about it".

So, we have a requirement to provide a button that doesn't actually work.

When planning and laying out features, and going through them after implementation, I always lean on Newton's Third Law of Motion: "To every action there is always opposed an equal reaction" — if you can login, you should be able to login; if you can create, you should be able to delete etc.
