FUCK YOU LENOVO AND FUCK YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE
They "repaired" the hinge and it locked solid three days after I got it back.
My faithful companion has been reduced to such a terrible state :(
I had to remove the screen, there was significant stress on the panel.

...I guess I could make a server or something out of it?

    I'm in college, there's literally not enough space on my desk for an external screen.
    I'll use it for rendering or something.

    Currently I'm making do with accessing my Steam library via Steam In-Home streaming from a crappy secondary laptop.
    And for GPU computation it works just fine headless.

    Why not contact them and say it broke again instead of destroying any chance of warranty

    It's already out of warranty. Expired a year or so ago.

    @hsbfsix you could renew the warranty as lenovo offers flexibility in that regard.You can renew them at their official page.

    At my last job they had lenovo laptops and they warned me never to get anything by lenovo because they sucked so much and their support is terrible. hope you can still use some of the parts.
