How can i stop and destroy all services in my aws account that are piling up the billings?

    @retoor i keep waking up every day to my aws billing piling up a few cents and now its up to 9$ WTF IS THIS WHST AM I GETTING CHARGED FOR IF I DESTROYED ALL OF MY BULLSHIT. IM JUST EXPERIMENTING WITH TERRAFORM FOR AWS FREE TIER AND I GET CHARGED FOR USING A "FREE" TIER. THIS IS ILLEGAL

    I used to have that too at digital ocean, had an old snapshot taking up space that caused my bills to increase, perhaps something lile that?

    remove ur card information from AWS. Or call your bank and ask them to stop AWS from charging it.

    @SidTheITGuy amazon doesnt let you remove the card until you pay all the bills

    @b2plane you destroy everything right after you are done with it, no exceptions. If you see money piling up, the billing section tells you the data center and service that is causing the charge.

    They charge for block storage for instances that are shut down. They say that there are no charges for instances that are shut down, but they charge for the storage that’s used to store the state of the shut down instances.

    That is how I raked up 30+ dollars in an account over three years that I haven’t used since school.

    Probably you should check that. They charge a dollar a month for the smallest of the instances. The email invoices won’t show that exactly. You have to go to billing section for that.

    Tell your credit card company that your credit card was hacked by fraudster’s. Get a new credit card. Fuck amazon.
