scroach13437yInstaquit...if you don't even have admin rights on your own dev machine I mean wtf...

Anookas3057y@hash-table yeah, the problem is that i wasn't told i'd be forced to use windows. I thought it was given that i could use anything. Especially when the company is international and has at least a hundred developers.
Also, it's php, so windows is not a necessity -

He probably has admin rights, but Windows can be configured to ask by popup every time it wants to do something as admin. -
scroach13437yThat's what I thought cause if you're already admin it doesn't prompt you to login just to click yes

CWins48117yNot even a local admin account?
It's not unusual, that the domain user, that can go online & stuff is no admin, but in the companies i know you would get an extra admin account that is only used to install/deinstall/change stuff.
starting new job on monday, already received a new laptop... with windows 10... Asked if i can install Linux - absolutely not. Without exceptions.
*very long and slow sigh*
started it up, started customizing. Tried to remove a shortcut from desktop - a popup to login as admin...
*even longer and slower sigh, even though the previous one was near my limit*
can't wait to get started.
P.S. pros still outweigh the cons. but this is gonna be exhausting...
