Switching jobs which is also remote and more pay, also moving out of London because it's become absolutely horrible here 🥳

Real talk as someone that has never been to London, or England for that matter: Why do I hear things like these? what is so bad about London?

Asking for real with no intention to shit on other people's cities or country :V

@AleCx04 far too expensive for what you get. Food scene is OK, though I'd say majorly overhyped by many. It is quite dirty, and the trains have had many strikes these days. I am very thankful for being remote because the London trains, specially the overground at peak hours, is an absolute nightmare. Barely any room in the train to stand, have to bend a bit. Very hot in the underground and very very noisy because of the underground being so old. Even my noise cancelling headphones can't 100% eliminate it.

There's also issues of security, crime is rampant, strikes are rampant, and the salary isn't as much as it should be. But either way, I stayed because my flat was cheap, terrible management but cheap, and I could be close to some family of mine. But not worth it anymore, rent rose twice this year, and they increased parking costs by a huge amount too. The lifts in the building were getting old, I even got trapped recently for 15 mins.

++, I'm moving away from London soon as well. Too busy, expensive, noisy, dirty, etc...

Much rather live somewhere with peace and quiet and travel to the city for excitement when needed.
