FINALLY got Chrome to accept my self signed ssl certificate on OSX!!!!

F*ck this has taken waaay to long....

    Maybe try it with other browsers as well next time? Might speed up your devving :)

    haven't yet read your link, but doesn't browsers usually check which certs are accepted by the system if they are unknown to them? Once had to make Chrome to accept my self signed cert and all I had to do is make windows trust it and all done, Edge, Firefox and Chrome accepted it automatically

    Haven't tried it though on a mac machine

    At least chrome checks the system trust store. If the CA is trusted in there it should work as expected

    @linuxxx unfortunately Im not in the position to dictate what browser the customers users are supposed to run...

    If you don't need a CA or wildcard cert, Letsenctypt certs are trusted by browsers and free.

    I really hate feeding those certauthorities money for "nothing"(!)

    Damn, why didnt I think of starting a CA-business years ago?? Its like printing your own money...
