Step one:
Make the employer know why you need it, how you're going to get the environment set up, what it will cost and most important what it will save the firm.
First what it will cost and directly afterwards what it'll save.
Step two:
Proceed to make images. -
@Kimmax Yes I did. Which one mentions an automation script? (though imaging would be faster if you predict similar hardware in the future).
I set up new machines for a MSP all the time now and since we don't have the same machines since customers provide their own equipment I made a setup script which works well enough for the basics. Just giving another option incase imaging doesn't work.
Ahhh... the 3 day setup of a new machine. I love working in a corporate environment.
