You're thinking about it. I remember it.
There were a couple of sites that I would turn to. One was basically a coding blog / code repo. I don't remember its name, but it was also focused on C# mostly. Often it had good insights and examples. Search only. No ask/answer.
The other one was more interesting. Was called www.experts-exchange.com Which is basically where you can get some expert sex change. No, joking. Most of my questions in those days appeared to have been answered EXCELLENTLY on that website. The only problem was paid membership. That website, I believe, contributed greatly to the rise of Stackoverflow, as it was its main competitor, and everybody flocked there because it was free. -
