Watching ex uni classfellows becoming senior and getting promos while being stuck non senior is depressing.

Happy for them but sad that I haven't been promoted

    watching ex uni classmates is fine. they are smart people.

    Those high school peeps though. that's where it hurts haha

    Half will be demoted before long or it won’t mean much, senior job title is rarely earned beyond “was here longer and we need to give it to someone”, lead is the only one that means anything after junior/dev.

    @MM83 colleague at same level as me is tech lead elsewhere too, you're right on company dependant, but money talks

    @AndroidJester I guess another way to look at it would be would you rather them screwing up facebook? Or screwing up your orders at mcdonald's lol
