alyx17527yHe wanted to remain anonymous. He didn't want his face plastered everywhere. He's having to move house because the british press doxxed him.
-
How about you completely discourage any form of sharing since that's what he wants. As @Alyx says, the British press went to extraordinary lengths to identify and out him when he tried his absolute best to avoid it and keep his head down.

Posts like these are the typical cancer circulating on FB and WhatsApp. Know the story behind it and then explore it. This guy Jere *DOES NOT WANT* to be famous, poor guy had to move to a new place to live because of the bloody media. Don't spread it further.

Okay so it was an accident. Read his blog, he was literally experimenting with the malware in a VE. The registered the domain he found in the code, which again he did routinely

Bikonja23867yI hate the fucking media so fucking much!
That is all (I'm not commenting on the actual situation) -
ElmIsBae307yCould we not post/upvote stuff like this? If you want to write a post commemorating him for his humility, go for it! I'd likely enjoy reading that.
Poorly made pictures like these are the reason I rarely go on Facebook anymore. I really hope devRant doesn't keep supporting stuff like this... -
Accident or not, he did something while people around the world were in panic. Microsoft could have found it before him, or Google, or Tenable, but he'sā the reason why V1 stopped. Now to deal with the idiot press š”

Pointer32497yMicrosoft didn't find it because they already had. It's just fucking people with dated software

I'm down voting this post because ppl need to understand what respecting someone's privacy means ...
-
CCTrollz7437y"Impossible for microsoft" yes only the very 1337est of hackers can register domains.
-
bioDan61597yPlot twist: he is the co-author of WannaCry and it just went out of hand. He then felt the responsibility to stop it from spreading after he made loads of bitcoin.
-
@alyx right. I follow him on Twitter and this is exactly what he wanted to avoid lol
-
His privacy has already been fucked and like any of us are going to invade it further because of a post... š¤
I learned something from this so it was actually beneficial.
Salute to this guy.... š š
