Colleague: Ivy, I have a problem with blah blah.
(Meanwhile we are in two different places)
Me: I'm not sure I understand your problem. Just Google it.
Colleague: I don't want to.
Me: Okay bye.

Question: Are Developers who use Google impostors?

    I'm not sure...
    I consider good google fu as the basic skill for a dev, or someone who wants to be a dev.

    Not at all. It's a continuous learning process.

    Yes, of course they are. Real developers are able to go into a state of trance and transcend the barriers of time and space, thus finding all needed knowledge.

    @g-m-f I can't begin to imagine.

    No, they are not impostors... Nobody is knowledgeable in all things.

    That being said, there is a decent amount of inherent knowledge needed to be a good dev or administrator

    Well, tell me, if we just assume for a moment, as ridiculous as the idea is, that you aren't able to just telepathically absorb all knowledge in existence, and that commonly APIs aren't build in a way that you can deduce their exact functionality through pure logic and math, how would you do something new? Yeah.

    So of course googling devs are imposters, everyone knows a true dev is a telepathic knowledge sponge.
