Yes, because she uses iPhone.

Less important is the fact that she doesn't function as her own Java garbage collector.

I usually get tonnes of tabs in safari too. I click link in some app. It opens in safari. I go back to the original app and safari doesn't care to close the tab for me as chrome does ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
