It amazes me, that in 2022 there are still Youtubers making Videos saying MD5 is encryption.

I‘d argue that it never was. It‘s just a hash function.

Sadly they don't actually know any better, encryption and obfuscation are the same thing these days 🤷‍♂️

Similar feeling when I see some of the claims in “this video brought to you by dickbutt vpn” sponsor segments.
