The float property applies to whichever element or text it encounters first. That's why it's looking reversed. The same would look alright had it been float left

fyzrn27429y@GigaMick @nottoobright exactly, one of the most annoying quirks for those who are too lazy to read the specifications. When i first encountered this behavior, i thought it was a bug 😂
