@No-one It's not that is slow... mine is 50mbps... It's just that I'm doing ping over 400.... I'm very jealous of your ping xD

    xDSL?

That is some crazy latency. Hey maybe if you pay 100/month more they'll get your ping times down to 350ms and you can finally play Doom💾 with your friends.

    I have the same, 100/100 with a ping to Google.Com around 20. Paying $25/month

Broadband is a very generous term in this context

ping Google.com might be different on parts of the planet... Here my provider has a cache of google.com to speed things up... It returns their server address in 11 ms.

Pinging 8.8.8.8 on the other hand takes 80ms avg.

Pinging NY server is about 200ms avg

DevRant's vultr nj server is about 200 ms avg too.

pinging my company server at same city with a 4mb up down takes 50 ms avg.

It all depends on so many factors.

I once had a huge issue with my previos ISP, speed test and ping to them was amazing (20 ms, 25Mbps down) but pinging or doing a speed test outside of their network was less than 1 mbps and over 600 ms.

Tech support failed to understand what the issue was, they were basically saying their lan was good and That is all that matters.

I involved a govt dependency that mediate customers and service providers, I won.

I am no longer their customer and I heard they service is way better now.

That is how you make the world a better place.
