I'm a CS student at a university in the global top 10. We currently have two courses using Java, where we have to submit our work to a judge program. One of them is running Java 7. the second one Java 6! Come on, what year is it? Just update your fucking software and the assignments, you lazy fucks!

First rant. Am I doing this right?

Well...a few of the labs in my university have computers that run on Windows Vista I think. And they're supposed to be IT labs. 😑😑😑

@nai87 condolences. We at least have win7 (and fedora dual boot)

@pascalwacker we have labs that are Win 10, labs that are Linux (not sure what distribution) and labs that have iMacs :-p

Maybe they want to get you ready for clients early...

@cst1992 no IE6, I think it's IE9, but Firefox is set as default browser, which is nice. I already worked 8 years before university, so I know what fucktards clients are... In German there's a word for it: DAU, which is a shortform for "Dümmster Anzunehmender User". It comes from a GAU, which is when a nuclear power plant explodes... Anyway, DAU is roughtly translated "the most stupid idiot you can imagine, is a user of your app". Ah I remember the good old das, back in 07, when I was in an aprenticeship writing a website, check it in IE 6, nothing works, fix it, go to a Mac, open IE for Mac, cry, cry some more, fix it. "good" old times...

You are right! If the latest version of the Java is available then why are we not updating it? I think we need to update the software and then we should work on any kind of assignments so I choose http://australian-writing.com to manage my essay needs.
