Abraham Lincoln showed how one can rule. John Kennedy showed how one should rule. George Bush showed that every idiot can rule. Donald Trump showed that not every idiot can rule.

Biden taught me you can rule with a walker and Obama taught me how one can lie to rule

I used to think the president didnt do any work until Trump got elected.

Just like with most jobs, you don't appreciate it when it's done properly

kiki, the true master of baiting.

P.S. still shame on you, for bringing politics, that is a very low move.

@killames I think it's foolish to think that your leaders will be forthcoming with sensitive information.

I also think that leaders that kill 400,000 people through compete belligerence and ineptitude are worse than those who lied about certain government programs to keep you safe.

Tit for tat, don't hold your leaders as gods and you won't be so salty when they lose elections.

@Demolishun I can agree with that, it's a shame that it's only a byproduct of all the illegal shit he's doing though.

It's kind of hilarious honestly. The man is so inferior a common criminal, he's like a villainous Tony Stark. Incredibly wealthy and it's to prop up his failing businesses, politics, and family through litigious means. He's so stupid he can't even break the laws himself, he's got to have his lackeys do it for him.

I say more politicians need to support him, that way we can brand them traitors too.

    What does this show us?
  • 2
@Demolishun well lets get a list going here.

    Obstruction of Justice
    Money Laundering
    Campaign Finance
    Extortion
    Coercion
    Election tampering
    Incitement
    Insurrection
    Rape
    Sexual misconduct

Most of these are really general and it's difficult to list all the crimes he committed here because there's just so many.

@wackOverflow looks like someone failed to insert punctuation.

    What's this assholes excuse?

I think that politics should be banned from all social networks. It's already difficult to debate between 2 people face to face, so dozens of people at the same time + limited interactivity (just text, hard to understand the context of people's state of mind, no way to know if Poe's law is applicable,etc.). I have never seen anything else than "I agree with you so we're both great" and "I disagree with you, you suck", but maybe other people had more meaningful experiences

@nonox agreed. It should be in any decent social network rules.
  • 1
@nonox Contemporary social networks are definitely not fit for the task, but you can't just ban politics as it's - by definition - involved in every important topic. The reason it's so prominent on all forums though is that people need to discuss politics somewhere and if all options suck equally you might as well do it anywhere. If at some point we figure out a way to do it properly, we can finally ban it from other channels with the notion that discussions like that should be taken to <whatever channel is actually fit for political discussions>

@wackOverflow I highly doubt any sane person would call Biden more than a less terrible option, so there's no point in repeating over and over the well-known fact that he's a bit too old and too involved with the current elite to bring any meaningful change.

    @Demolishun

    Hahahaha!
Devrants stupidest comments 2021! The only swamp he is cleaning is his ass

@lbfalvy IMO they’re both equal parts shit. One’s a pretentious sociopath, the other is an incoherent schill. People act like Jesus came back when Biden won the election, but does anybody cringe any less during his speeches than trumps? What an embarrassing 5 years and counting.
  • 1
    @wackOverflow I think you're misreading the room.

We aren't happy that Biden is president, we're happy we don't have a fucking geriatric sociopath for a president.

@lbfalvy So you think that there is a way to moderate political debates online somehow? It's gets polarized so quickly, I'm not sure what rules should be applied, for some reason the regular "don't insult people" seems to be hard to follow for most people (including myself probably), plus the is-it-sarcasm-or-trolling-or-serious ambiguity
  • 1
@nonox I hope there is a way to moderate political debates, or rather a structure that makes it easy to moderate political debates. And yeah, unambiguous sarcasm is a key element.

@sariel I don’t hold my leaders in any esteem
Our government is the most corrupt shit box in the world because it is filled with rich bored people who only have their own interests in mind and like to play games with the public

They all taught me they are the same ratfuck handpuppets and the agenda never changes for long regardless of who is in office.

Abraham Lincoln taught me that the only good journalist is an imprisoned one.
