Please tell me it's not that bad and I'm not the only one that gets bent over by poor sleeping habits :(

i also have issues with irregular sleep.
its because, smh my internal clock is persuaded a day is 36 hours long.

i found a way to cope with that: whenever my sleep pattern drifts too much away from normality, i do a white night, then go to sleep at an appropriate hour
    might be worth a try...

hope you didnt get fired over that...

@bad-frog Wow, that's exactly what I do when my sleep starts getting too messed up! Probably should've done that when I saw 5AM on the clock. I got off with a warning, but I'm so frustrated that something I can hardly control has such a big impact over my work

@Revanee yeah, it sucks. having a biological body is burdensome sometimes:/. it would be awesome to not need sleeping or eating...
just imagine how much could be achieved...

    but we aint there yet.
and we have at least *some control over our sleep patterns so there's that.

you could look at the matter in a different way:
life is a little harder for you. but thats ok, because without fight there is no victory:)

That would literally destroy me with anxiety. I applaud you for getting through that. Good job. I hope you can fix the sleep issue. Good luck!

When I didn’t work in a closed area, my phone stayed on loud during the work day. I had customized it so my notifications for unimportant stuff didn’t make noises but my phone calls did. Now it’s even better, most phones let you mute specific convos. So the group chat with your friends won’t go off but the one with your boss will.

I forced myself to get proper bedtime at around 9 pm to start getting ready. I hated it. Now I fall asleep around 10:30.

I never had an issue with waking up but I would collapse on my bed at midday after staying up till 5 am and waking up at 8 for my meetings. Of course I'd be super unfocused and unproductive. It was a vicious circle and was a bit out of control.

Went to the doctor and gave me some melatonin, pretty mild and didn't take long to get in check. So a doc visit might be worth a shot if it's a common occurrence.

@Sputnik Careful on meltonin. You can become dependent on it. I only use sparingly now. When I just cannot sleep at all. I was taking it all the time.
