Can you be hired as a developer if you are not holdind a cs degree?

    I do not have a CS degree and that is what I do.

    Full stack developer here... With an English degree - I wanted to be a writer, maybe some day that dream will come true, heh.

    Yes. But with a CS degree you will have an easier way landing jobs. Just the way the world work.

    I'm a project manager. Taught myself Android Dev and my company liked the work I did. They assessed me and are in the process of moving me into the Dev department. If it's what you want you'll find a way to make it happen.

    Yes, but it will be harder. Initially it will be even harder and a lot of places might not even take non-CS grads. The pay will be less compared to a CS grad. But keep pursuing and when you have proven skill set and some experience under your belt, then all these won't matter. Till then hustle on.

    Bachelor's in Mechanical engineering ..But I work in a top MNC as a full stack developer and my efforts were appreciated as I performed well,so my PM sent me to UK (On-site) ! My total experience - 2.5 yrs ..If I can do ..

    Untimately, in my opinion degree is just a cert. I'm currently doing my degree and most of the rant here is alien language for me...
