@nblackburn Seriously, using hosted GitLab is plain stupid. Its slow, and, as we all saw, unsecure. The product however, is great. I love GitLab and im happily giving them 40 bucks for my GitLab EE Server. All of this companies exceed the size and performance requirements from hosted GitLab, so im sure that they are selfhosting. In the livestream, it was said, that a very great percentage is selfhosting.

@vortexman100 It might not make sense in your case but that doesn't mean there are companies that are hosted because there most likely is a few.

Just because it's not for you doesn't mean it is stupid and that it can't exist for those it makes sense for, it's called having options.

@nblackburn I was talking over the companies in the picture above. Of course there are companies which host their stuff on gitlab, but honestly, if i am making a company, i have to watch out on who im relying. And i wouldnt rely on hosted gitlab. Well others do, and yesterday were a really workless day.
