@bahua Believe OP is referring to the fact that software is stored as a pattern of sectors in memory.
OP forgets that the hardware itself doesn't transform into the software, and that software is still purely conceptual, so OP is probably simplifying his assertion and is still technically wrong.
A sheet of paper doesn't become a song just because you wrote notes on it.
