@phat-lasagna LOL, heck no. Self loathing for getting myself in over my head. Again. I keep thinking I’m good at starting businesses and I suck at it. But I keep trying like something different is gonna happen this time. I never learn.

@100110111 It was supposed to be a basic IT services subscription site on WordPress using the WooCommerce plugin and its Subscriptions extension. But there is a workflow component to the services that the plugin and extension just cannot be forced to deal with in a way that makes the customer experience as seamless as possible. It’s supposed to be a “white glove” experience, so I want as little friction and as much “delight” as possible when the user manages their account, service options, and billing. I’m expecting way too much of WordPress and WooCommerce in this endeavor.
I’ve done it again. I started a new online business thinking that some out of the box solutions would work for managing it. Turns out, in spite of my initial thinking that I had covered the bases, it turns out that none of those solutions fully matches my business requirements. So now I have to either rely on my own wits and poor coding skills to roll my own solution or spend money I don’t have to pay someone smarter than me to code my vision all while hoping I’ll find enough customers to recover the cost. What was I thinking?!
