One thing I HATE about my job is dealing with customers, unfortunately they seem to be quite a vital part of the business

    Quit and find a gig that shields development from technical support. It is just my opinion, but a company that wastes a developer's time with direct live support isn't properly allocating their resources.

    Service specialists exists for a reason. Tickets exist for a reason. A good company can hire friendlier (more attractive) people with better people skills than me to be customer facing. The customer is happier, I'm happier, and everyone wins.

    That's why I hate jobs in a company who only does outsourcing.

    @stisch yeah I am really thinking of it I just seem to waste time trying to talk to customers.... and I am not what you would call a people person
