Nebyular4128y@wolskie and you've gotta get your ThinkPad repaired because you literally cannot boot into the UEFI BIOS Setup
-
Nebyular4128y@milkbytes the ThinkPads look great but as somebody who's Macbook Pro is on its last legs and looking for a new laptop next year, I'm thinking perhaps going with the Dell XPS. Too many issues I've seen people report with Lenovo products...
-
@Nebyular Actually I've replaced my old 2010 MBP by this ThinkPad 13. I choose it because I'm quite fond of the classic ThinkPad design I thought they had good support since they're prosumer/enterprise grade. I could not be more wrong.
I'll try to get a refund on this machine so I can buy an HP Elite. They're good looking, have a solid build and good specs plus HP support never let me down. -
Wolskie478yIndeed, so far every ThinkPad I've owned from Lenovo have failed, both X1 Carbons 1st and 4th gen, apparently I didn't learn from my mistakes.
-
@Wolskie I will file a complaint with the authorities as soon as I get home. It has been over a month (legal limit in Portugal for warranty repairs) and they still haven't fixed/replaced my machine.
Better yet, they told my that I didn't got any replies to my last three emails because the person assigned to my ticket was on vacation ffs!

I'm opening a case against Lenovo due to their bad warranty support. It's been over a month and a half since I reported an issue with my ThinkPad and they still haven't fixed it. The laptop was bought in September, the case opened in October and in December I still have a faulty screen with which I can't no longer work because it was frying my eyes. Note that this machine has a Warranty Extension for 3 years Onsite next business day repair.
TL;DR if you own a ThinkPad, pray that it doesn't have any hardware issues. If you're thinking about buying one, DON'T!
