MILF marketplace.
The audience seemed to enjoy it but I don't think I'd get any investment.

What exactly is this marketplace for?

    Trading or prostituting?

I'm curious, is milf an acronym for something or is it what I should expect it to mean?

@matt-jd if.you have to ask, you better don't find out

@asgs ? Sometimes people pick acronyms like that for example when we did a group project called Fast Asynchronous Processing engine

    Yes! Yes! Yes!

Sadly the project was dropped due to legality issues before it even had a chance to start. I'll open source the schematics and initial codebase in case anyone is willing to proceed with this noble endeavor.

Ok so we were playing a 'pitch' game with random words, and I somehow got "hot" and "mothers" to work with. I started by appealing to people's childhood memories of that really hot mother one of their friends had, and it just snowballed from there. Some of them were drunk so it was kinda working. The next day I went back to work in usual mundane things and that's how the dream died.

I believe that there are already several specialist websites and apps that provide the same service (a friend told me)

I named an advertising server ADS and named an inventory item service PIS. I would not hesitate to name internal components like FUCK, MILF, PENIS or whatever else, as long as i don't have to get creative to make the acronym work.
If your audience is your collegues, that is okay, as such acronyms aren't ambiguous in the context of the project.

But never ever use ambiguous words like milf, selenium, pear, apple, salt, nacl... for companies, products or projects on the internet.
It really makes it hard to search for the specific thing and also spams search results for everyone else.

Hobestly, isn't that what Tinder is for already? Or one of those loose dating apps?

@Oktokolo I get pear and apple if you don't want to be sued by Apple and milf if you don't want to get laughed at, but what's the issue with salt?

Edit: I should have read the last sentence.

    @saucyatom
There are chances, the name "salt" collides with something you already have in your kitchen.
Name clashes with other things, wich are orders of magnitude more commonly known than your product make searching for it harder.

Outside the USA naming your product like another thing, everyone knows about, also is seen as presumptuous by a lot of people.
