OS X does crash, but very rarely (in my case at least). Been using Mac for 6 years and maybe had 2-3 crashes. Before that I used windows and then I had 1 crash every other month.

@simeg I've been on all three OS for the past 3 years. Mostly I'm on the Mac because I design as well. Apart from the updates, Windows 10 has been great to me based on what I see here. Well it is a little more clunky, but I think because I threw so many weird things at it. Besides that, dev stuff, all seems to be fine. Hmm.

Haven't used Linux extensively, but OS X sure does crash occasionally.

@kamen true, but had some more serious crashes on windows than mac. I also love developing on mac way more than windows

Depending on what you do, OS X crashes a lot. Multitasking heavy apps with low ram crashes mine. But it never crashed on normal use.

Well, I've never used OSX, but for last 20 years of using various Linux distros, I can recall a few crashes, but last time more than 5 years ago.

I think of you try hard enough you can crash any OS. Not sure Windows crashes more often or it's just more sluggish by default.

Used windows till seven years ago and numerous crashes. Linux since then and a few crashed but that was obviously due to experimenting. None except for that. OSX, never used it but a friend doesn't stop complaining.

My dual booted Ubuntu freezes quite often while working with gradle and emulators. Then i have to hard reboot it.

@divil I got W10 for free. Yes, I practically pay for it by testing, but I'm fine with that as I've had no serious issues for the last year and a half.

My Windows 7 MacBook Pro has crashed once in the last 5 years.

Please... Tell me more about your brilliant Linux.

Crashes nowadays are usually due to misbehaving drivers or hardware issues.

I've gotten all oses that I've run for any extended period of time to crash, windows, Linux, macos, freebsd, no OS is perfect.
