Your questions has too broad a scope. Which language are you familiar with? (e.g Full stack JS? Python/Java/php/Ruby backend?)
There are many ways to skin there cat. -
I have deliberately chose a broader scope for the question, so we can get an insight of the dominant stack out there among developers, you could say I'm a Java enthusiast, you must be an everything JS developer ?

My two cents: if the question/survey doesn't include a baseline, evangelists will suggest tech they're familiar with or used before.
Nobody uses everything, hence there won't be an answer to the question. -
If I were to develop a project from scratch at my job, it would probably be IIS, SQL server, an ASP.NET API, and Angular 2.

willol13898yI use Symfony2-MySQL-apache-linux as my goto stack, but Symfony uses a lot of dependencies I find it a very good thing but you stated you wanted few)
