Windows be like: "bro is that a fucking usb drive? I don't have drivers for that"

Linux be like: "Hold on, is that a Millennium Falcon? I've got the drivers for that"

    I don't think I've had problems with a USB drive in windows since ... man I can't remember when I had problems with one last ...

    No. Just no.

    Windows can actually auto detect the drive, install drivers, and mount the thing for use. Meanwhile, linux users run lsof, dmesg, and lsusb -w to find out what, and which bus. Then google for the driver, install the build chain, install headers, compile the thing, and modprobe it, into the kernel. then redo the thing because there was a kernel update.

    then try to figure out how to use FUSE.

    yup. linux is great at this.

    I always just plug it in, wait a few minutes then i'm ready to dump my files.
