Anyone gave Amazon interview? They scheduled second phone round for me. Apparently I am not that good. Any tips?

Make sure you have examples of when you've adhered to their leadership principles. I think that's what they care most about

I got through a campus interview for Amazon not too long ago. My experience has been that they care quite a bit about your algorithms and data structures experience. They didn't really test me on the leadership principles but I did have a few collaborative projects listed in my resume where I was the team leader, so that might have been it.

Prep your algo / DS, and be confident about your core area of experience as well. Knowledge of software dev tools like version control, testing frameworks, DI etc is a plus. Try and lead the interviewer towards discussions of your past projects and any past experience. You will find yourself on pretty solid ground there where you can confidently answer.

    Good luck!

@Mindstormer619 Thanks. yeah my first one was just programming. We solved two questions. No other discussion at all about my resume. I'm prepping on DS mostly and efficient usage. So did you get hired at Amazon?

@linux-colonel Thanks. Yeah I read about that. They also expect a good answer for "why Amazon". They didn't ask me anything in first round, jumped a straight into programming.
