Personally I prefer developer, but the only thing I hate being called is 'designer' I am very adamant than I am NOT a designer, I write code that makes things happen, designers take my output and make it pretty.

I think developers to me I considered it... Low level programming like web stuff ... It can get difficult in Areas but it's certainly no c++ . programmer i think sounds like I can do more then sites -
I personally go by "Technician" but that's because my job description involves more than just programming these days.

The absolute nuggets are the people that refer to each other as a 'JavaScript Monkey' or 'Java Guru', or 'RegEx superhero' on their company website.
Talk about cringe. -
