My first Cherry MX switches were browns. I still love them, but I've since fallen hard for the Flaretech black switches on my Wooting 2.

It's really personal.
To me browns feel like typing on gravel for exemple.
I would recommend box blacks (outemu are great, gateron are a bit more crunchy).
Buckling springs are too rare and too obnoxious. -
I think, If you're a guy who pushes the keys all the way down (heavy typer), linear will be fine for you. You probably rely on feedback from bottoming out.
I prefer mx white tough, since browns bump is too subtle to me. Or blues.
Maybe buy that switch tester thingy. -

I have always been a heavy typer, so the linear switches with medium to strong resistance feel great to me, as I really enjoy the feeling of that all-the-way-down impact.
