@ScriptCoded so what? If they cut down lets say 60 percent of their expenses it doesnt mean that you are supposed to become a slave with no extra raise. When 2 of my colleagues were fired I noticed that my workload tripled so I almost instantly asked for a 30percent raise and got it because I knew that they have enough money now. And I knew that training new person would take months and would cost much more.

@zemaitis Sure, and that'll be the case if I notice a higher workload. However, I very much care for the company, and would much rather see us go though this than me having a higher salary.

@ScriptCoded Food for thought: I bet others who got fired cared for the company. Instead they got sacked. Dont invest emotionally especially if you can be replaced easily. Im speaking from experience, when I poured all my heart sweat and blood into some companies to the point where I had sleepless nights and started getting grey hairs and balding. No one cared. Its business as usual. In the end you offer a service.

@zemaitis Sure, probably everyone were very invested. The firings weren't because they were bad coworkers or because someone just thought that was the easiest way out. It was simply a matter of keeping the business running. Either firing a few now, or everyone later. But we all have different points of view, soo
