@IntrusionCM I seriously wish I could bro but It'll certainly get spoilt before reaching your part of the world.

@asgs It's Nigerian though. Never tasted Indian fried rice though but I believe it must be delicious too.

I am from somewhere in North Africa. And I am impressed that food looks like ours
-
@BarakaShuzuko Yes perhaps. Just I thought that Arab Africans have different traditions. Our Africa keeps impressing me everyday

@BarakaShuzuko
I know that there are many yollof rice recipes...
So out of curiosity, do you have a recipes?
I remember that it is - mostly - based on broth / tomato sauce / scotch bonnet and letting the rice cook in the 'mix' after rinsing -
@IntrusionCM There are lot of recipes but I myself don't know how to cook 😁. Most homemade Jollof rice recipes usually consist of what you wrote with some green beans, carrots and curry included. The Irony of it all is that Homemade Jollof rice ain't that delicious compared to those cooked at Parties/Ceremonies; no one knows why. Some believe it's due to the wood fuel used in cooking Jollof rice at Big Ceremonies/Parties.
I wish I could invite you over, to taste a real local made one. 😋 -
@BarakaShuzuko Ah. k. I don't think I'll visit Africa for holidays due to health reasons (too hot / dry air), but you'll never know XD
Interesting... So it has a smoky, spicy flavor? That could be emulated... There is eg pimenton de la viera l, which is smoky and spicy. Or the hungary Version, puszta (if it's homemade, it's good - otherwise sucks).
And maybe I've become already a bit obsessed, but I reaaallly like authentic cuisine and cooking xD
Merry Christmas from this part of the world.
Who wants some Jollof rice?
