    Very nice !

But personally I have a PTSD with watercooling ;p

I’ve built a water-cooled pc about 7 years ago. Then I wanted to update CPU. So : Flush all liquid, change CPU, refix water block, fill the tank ! GO ! Power on ! 2 mins later: Windows “Your CPU temperature is around 120 C. I’m gonna shut down”. Yep, all liquid from tank went to pipes, leaving the pump in the air. No movement. Parts of water block on CPU melted. That was a mess.

@NoToJavaScript holy shit that photo is a nightmare.

But they made advances in Watercooling. With ths newer Parts it shouldn't burn or anything

@jesustricks Minecraft can be really heavy (and pretty) with third party shaders. Plus, new raytracing shaders completely destroy performance but look so, so good.

    Hard-line?

You can't just run custom water-cooling without overclocking
  • 1
@retnikt yep, just 1 soft tube for draining

@retnikt only CPU is stock, GPU is overclocked. Ryzen CPU's are currently buggy with overclocking

@NoToJavaScript Welp, quite impressive that it reached 120°C to start with.. most CPU's have a junction temperature of 90-100°C and shut down at 80 or so in order to not reach that temperature... Not sure if good for being able to last till 120 or terrible for not shutting off earlier 😅

@Condor Maybe around 100 yes. I don’t remember exactly and I had like 2 seconds to read warning :). Same result tho.

Edit : But definitively higher than 80

    Freaking awesome

    so close

but you stuck an NVidia GPU in it

also welcome to hardsploit city, trip courtesy of your RGB drivers having a high probability of giving anything in userland raw SMBus access
