How will you build before learning?

@hack his book Lean Startup is all about iterative building.

You have an idea that people might like
You build the smallest thing that can test your idea out
You throw it out into the real world, measure performance, learn from it, repeat till you sort of know what you're doing.

Then you can expand it into a real product with good engineering and all the bells and whistles.

Also OP I think this would fit the random category better, it's neither a rant nor a story nor a weekly rant response.
