Linkedin "easy apply" is too easy, to the point that anyone vaguely looking for a job anywhere may just click it for the sake of it.
That said, I find it one of the worst platforms for actually finding a job. Tend to just get inundated with meaningless recruiter spam and little else. The traditional sites are much better. -
@AlmondSauce I personally prefer the non traditional sites where companies have to apply for you and write a motivation.
-
@Codex404 They offer a nice experience, but the ones I've seen tend to offer less than those on the more traditional sites. (No idea if that's true generally.)
-
@Codex404 I'm happy to waste extra time on bullshit if it gives me 10%+ more, and that's been my experience thus far.
-
@AlmondSauce well are you willing to spend a few hours per day extra to have 10% more companies? Of which most of them are not relevant or have shitty descriptions?
-
@Codex404 No, I mean 10% more salary. And yes, if that's the case then I'll gladly put up with a temporary bit of crap for that much extra per year.
-
@AlmondSauce owh no, salary is way better on the "companies apply to you" websites.
-
@Codex404 Really? Honestly wasn't my experience, tended to be at least 10% less. But then I only looked at it once. If it was more then of course, it'd be a no brainer.
-
@AlmondSauce even if it was less it would have been a no brainer for me. Companies you have to apply to are less clear in what your day to day tasks are.
Companies that apply to you are in general more modern with good employee benefits, salary and attention to health (as in not allowed to do overtime unless you compensate it the same week)
