Listening to background music doesn't sound like an audiophile activity

I learned coding while listening to music so now I am more productive when listening to some good music

I thought the term “audiophiles” was only used for people buying gold-plated fuses, paying >1k$ for oxygen-free mains cables for their amplifiers, etc., claiming they could clearly hear the difference.

@7400 they also use unicorn hair for the cables, maybe that applies to really expensive stuff

    Try Sigur Rós! Its amazing!

@wowotek oh wow! Fender style? Marshall? Dumble? Maybe Orange or SUNNO)))? Maybe your own inventions?

@uyouthe until today i only made 2 guitar amps. I make my own improvised driver based on bunch of any other amps. Usually i use Celeston speakers

@RememberMe Finally! Someone mention about celestion 😂.

    Ikr, best speaker

@wowotek I love playing on cabinets with Celestions, yes
Not that I can actually afford prebuilt ones, it's usually at an event or something.

Been meaning to build an amp (bass amp though because I'm primarily a bassist), got any resources? I've built simple circuits (basic audio amplifiers and all, though I used integrated components and didn't build it from scratch) and have some familiarity with electronics theory and practice (theory of amplification, opamps, etc., all good. At least the basics).

@wowotek @RememberMe hey nice to hear you guys are also musicians! I dig Celestions too, they’re inside my Laney :)

@M1sf3t they’re nice but I’m going for Marshall silver jubilee

@M1sf3t you can get absolute killer tones out of those as they are class A.

@RememberMe im gonna be honest. I forgotten where i learn about electronics, i don't have internet connection back then. After learning electronics, i want to built by own circuit and started by making a simple one, like power supply, emergency phone cable. Try a complex one like MOSFET Rectifier, H-Bridge, Multiplexer, or in my case i build my own guitar pedal(analog) like Big Muff Pi Clone etc. And then i got my foot into audio realm. mostly i do that by trial and error and build a lot of amps and analog equilizer.
