not gonna lie, looked on first glance like something you might stick up ones ass on a bad day, product name fits too.

@Root it’s graphics card brace. Graphics card sag is a very common problem for long triple fan design.

@stisch jeep wangler 2019 received 1/5 star safety rating. I assume gigabyte is pretty much the same πΉ

@Root custom gpu block? Wow. i still can’t trust aio. And this case don’t support reservoirπ
-
@theKarlisK same power as a crowbar. the package of this card is actually bigger than motherboard. Both from gigabyte.
-
why do you need that stand Oo. couldnt you just fastened the 6Pin Cables for additional Pull upwards? (/s)
-
@BurnoutDV it’s good to have it. I know the cable method, but it doesn’t hold overtime. So you have to pull it regularly, once sag happened. This one is inexpensive and has good build quality, beside the stupid name.

Root825086y@irene I used to think the same. My girlfriend's dad had a really nice air cooler on his card and was getting ok gpu temps: I blamed lack of good airflow because most people don't understand fluid dynamics and just think more fans is better.
He recently bought and installed a Corsair h55 with a push/pull on his gtx 970 ssc (and a cpu water cooler instead of a *monster* air cooler [Noctua?] blowing heat everywhere). The temps are amazing. His airflow is also very good; I was kind of surprised π
He went from 85°C+ @ 26°c ambient to 57°C max @ 26°C, both under full load stress tests*. (The first + because it was hitting the temp limit and downclocking.) There is no way an air cooler would have reached these temps without a wind tunnel and a gigantic radiator.
* tests:
Valley, firestrike, heaven, witcher 3, battlefield, etc. All maxed at 1440. Also, 50mhz (or higher?) gpu overclock after installing the water cooler. -
@irene I bought this phanteks p300, because it’s most popular case for that online store. The next one on the list is nzxt h500 btw. Don’t like the look of coolermaster, they look very nerdy. If I switch to another one, probably silver stone rl06

Cool, though no need for that in a Bitfenix Prodigy. All those crammed cables will support it marvelously!

@ScriptCoded cable works, but it’s hard to keep the right tension. I more prefer to leave my new card in a stable position.

Very cool gadget. Nice packaging, has few heavier than it looks. I’m impressed π Can anybody guess what it is? πΌ
