"This site uses cookies" is the most useless thing ever... Who fucking cares if it does. What is next? We should put explanation how DNS server or apache works?

    @Jilano that's true but it's kinda useless since nearly every website has this "warning"

    The law also requires them to give users the option to refuse it, hence why they have to display it.
    The problem I have with it is most sites "give you the option" in as much as you can either accept it or not use the site. Its a prime example of asshole design when your 2 options are the big "accept" button, and the back button.

    The weirdest thing though about that whole story is that there usually is no other way to tell that the user does not want the site to store cookies than to store that decision in a cookie.

    @TobiSGD this is very true!!! The real push is against the property rights of producers over their own products on the basis of the property rights of consumers over their personal data.
