I recently made 2 years of experience but don’t know if I should still apply for an entry level position. I still feel uneasy with my skills, but don’t love where I’m working. What would you guys do if you were in my shoe?

    No pain no gain.
Try with some job offer and might be you’re all right. You don’t have to accept every job offer 🙃

A feeling of doubt with your skills means you know more than you think you do.

People who are overly confident and downplay difficulties are often exhibiting the Dunning-Kruger effect: they don't know how much they don't know. Being inadequately experienced in the subject they make silly statements about how simple things are. That doesn't sound like you, so good job!

Apply everywhere. Even if you don't get the job, you'll gain interview process experience which will only help you for the next one.

I guess I know that feel. In your early days most people won't find the exact thing which is comforting. The work place might be iffy, the job you are doing might not feel right. I'm in the same position.

@duckWit thanks for the advice. Should I even apply to non entry position as well?

@newguy1974929 you have nothing to lose. If you fail the interview, obtain their feedback as to why. Then improve in those areas (assuming they have good, constructive feedback) and try again.

@siliconchips i agree with what you’re saying but to me the reasoning for wanting a new job is because I don’t see myself growing here.

@newguy1974929 that is another reason I've seen and forgot to mention.

@duckWit I guess i have the fear of getting hired then not meeting their expectations of that position.

@newguy1974929 then you work like hell to prove their decision right. That, my friend, will force you to grow for sure.

@duckWit that’s a great point. I think that was the best advice I’ve heard. DevRant have such an amazing community.
